How we keep your goods safe

Captain vetting

Every Postagy captain is verified with a government ID, a valid driver's license, a vehicle inspection, and a background reference. We interview each one before activation.

Cargo insurance

Cargo insurance is arranged through a licensed third-party underwriter — Postagy facilitates coverage against damage or loss in transit; it isn't issued by Postagy. Higher coverage is available on request for high-value goods. Standard cover up to EGP 20,000.00 per shipment; higher cover on request.

Live tracking & drop-off confirmation

Follow your captain from pickup to drop-off in the app and by SMS. Your pickup code starts the trip, and the receiver's one-time OTP in the captain's app confirms drop-off. Point-to-point: one dedicated vehicle per booking — no sorting hubs or shared routes.

Incident response

A support hotline you can reach fast. If something goes wrong, WhatsApp us and our team responds quickly.

Rating system

You rate your captain. Your captain rates you. Ratings are public — captains with low ratings are retrained or removed.

Cash on delivery

Captains carry a Postagy digital receipt. Cash collected is remitted next-day, minus your service fee. No captain walks away with your money.

Data & privacy

We collect only what we need, and store it on secure servers. Read our full Privacy Policy.

How tracking & drop-off works

End to end — for you and for the person receiving.

Booked

You get a trip reference (e.g. #PG-2026-08274) and a pickup code to share with your captain.

Captain assigned

See the captain's name, photo, rating, vehicle and plate — plus a live ETA.

Pickup — your code starts the trip

The captain enters your pickup code. Nothing moves until it's confirmed.

In transit — share a live link

Follow the vehicle live. Share a tracking link with the receiver by WhatsApp/SMS — no app needed on their side.

Drop-off — receiver's OTP confirms

The receiver gets a one-time code by SMS. The captain enters it to confirm drop-off — a digital confirmation, not a paper signature.

Completed

Both sides get a digital receipt tied to the trip reference. Rate the captain and add an optional tip — 100% goes to the captain.

The receiver never needs the app — they get SMS updates and a shareable live link. Every trip has a reference like #PG-2026-08274 you can quote to support.

What happens if…

Cargo insurance & how to claim

Cargo insurance is arranged through a licensed third-party underwriter. Standard cover of up to EGP 20,000.00 per shipment is included at no extra cost; higher declared-value cover is available on request for a small premium. An EGP 200.00 excess applies per claim. Exclusions apply (e.g. cash, undeclared valuables, improper packing). Final limits and premiums are confirmed with the underwriter before launch.

Filing a claim — 3 steps

Report within 24 hours

Message support with your trip reference (e.g. #PG-2026-08274) and photos of the damage.

Assessment

The licensed underwriter reviews the claim and required documents — usually within 3 business days.

Settlement

Approved claims are paid to your wallet or bank within 14 business days of assessment.
